Talking with Mark Begley

Talking with Mark Begley simply means talking with someone who adds a different zest to the meaning of cards to cater for whatever season the world is in.

I once have stumbled upon an article that is saying about the Christmas season being the season where the most number of cards are sent out. It even came to the point that card companies have to manufacture additional cards at the last minute because of the necessity for them.

There are already a lot of company known for their card and graphic printing company. No doubt that there are the ones dominating this industry.

But there are also many existing yet small-time companies that are slowly making their mark. The one mentioned in the article is just one example. What they lack in showmanship, they make up for creativity. The cards and graphics are not what you see every Christmas. Not the usual but effective and thoughtful nonetheless.

Maybe we will get to see more of them in the future. You never know.

Getting digital with holiday cards

The old-fashioned ways of sending out cards for the holiday season is still used by many people up to now. With the many technologies developed and being developed, one would think that the “old ways” would be lost by now.

Instead, card giving has adapted to the changes going around. Not to be left behind, it made its way online, on emails and up to online printing and sending.

The article was such one example. There are already many programs and software that people can use to make card making easier and simpler. U Printing: A Los Angeles Custom Printing Company is just one of the many printing companies catering to this kind of service.

With all this innovation, you would have thought that the essence of Christmas would be lost and is not anymore the same as it used to be. On the contrary, it has become even more felt due to the many creative ways of expressing and sharing the spirit of the season.

Thank God for modern technology. What would Christmas be without them.

Holiday hot mobiles

With the holidays approaching, there is no better time to treat yourself to a device that can help you get more done when you are on the go.

A raft of new mobility products from HP and other vendors can make your Christmas shopping easy for you, whether you are treating yourself or someone else.
The HP iPAQ hw6500 series of handhelds seems to be the brightest stars of HP's new mobility lineup. These devices let you surf the Web, send and receive e-mail, and talk on the phone.
They are also the first generally available Cingular-enabled device with an integrated GPS receiver. They also boast a unique combination of digital wireless voice and data capabilities, including access to Cingular's nationwide EDGE network, a built-in keyboard, audio and video playback, and Bluetooth wireless technology.
The HP iPAQ hw6515 adds a built-in HP Photosmart camera, so you can take snapshots and immediately e-mail them wirelessly. Need more?

Some people tend to get so creative with their Christmas letters

There are a variety of formats to choose from. You can buy holiday printer paper at any office supply store. Just print out your letter on the decorated paper and you are done.
If you will be printing out a lot of letters and want to save as much on cash as well as paper, you can also just choose colored paper with no design. Try red or green paper. They look festive all on their own with your letter printed on them. You can also copy your letter on to the paper with a copy machine instead of printing each one on your printer. If you are into rubber stamping, you could also hand-decorate your letters after you print them.
Or you can go paper less! You can email your letter to family and friends if they have Internet access. This would allow you to insert pictures into your letter and not worry about having to print them. Some families have web sites set up to post family pictures and happenings. This would also be a great place to post your Christmas letter for all to see.
